Our Story of Growth in Canada
Release International Church Calgary began in Calgary in September 2017 under the leadership of Rev. Byishimo Mpimuye. The church started with 15 people who gathered for their first worship service in the home of one of the members.
As the congregation continued to worship, pray, study God’s Word, and invite others, the fellowship grew. When the home could no longer accommodate everyone, the church moved to a community centre and, about three months later, to its current worship location at 4215 11 St NE, Calgary, AB T2E 6K4.
By God’s grace, the church has continued to grow and serve the Calgary community. Today, Release International Church Calgary has 122 baptized members and approximately 121 children who have not yet been baptized.
From a gathering of 15 believers to the church family we are today, our story is a testimony to God’s faithfulness. We remain committed to making disciples, strengthening families, reaching the community, and raising the next generation to know and serve Jesus Christ. (Psalm 127:1)
